Eisner Awards 2026: La DC Comics trionfa, premiata la serie ‘Absolute Batman’

Ieri sera, durante la cerimonia degli Eisner Awards 2026, tenutasi nell’ambito del San Diego Comic-Con, sono stati annunciati i vincitori dei più ambiti riconoscimenti dell’industria fumettistica globale. Considerati gli “Oscar” del settore, i premi hanno celebrato il meglio della produzione fumettistica dell’ultimo anno, mettendo in luce opere, autori e artisti che hanno lasciato un segno indelebile. La casa editrice DC Comics si è affermata come la vera protagonista della serata, con ben cinque statuette conquistate, grazie in particolare al successo della sua linea editoriale Absolute. Questo trionfo sottolinea la rinnovata forza creativa e l’apprezzamento critico che la DC sta riscuotendo tra gli addetti ai lavori e il pubblico.

Particolarmente degno di nota è il doppio riconoscimento ottenuto da Absolute Batman, premiato sia come Miglior albo One-Shot per l’annuale Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1, sia come Miglior serie regolare. Un successo che conferma la qualità e la coerenza narrativa di questa linea. Anche Absolute Martian Manhunter ha riscosso un grande plauso, aggiudicandosi il premio per la Miglior miniserie e consacrando il talento poliedrico di Javier Rodríguez, vincitore sia come Miglior disegnatore che come Miglior Cover Artist. La linea Absolute ha ulteriormente brillato grazie ad Absolute Wonder Woman, che ha permesso a Jordie Bellaire di aggiudicarsi il premio come Miglior colorista, evidenziando ancora una volta la sua maestria nell’uso del colore.

I protagonisti e le sorprese della serata

Oltre alla schiacciante vittoria di DC Comics, un altro nome emerge con prepotenza da questa edizione: Deniz Camp. Lo sceneggiatore filippino è stato celebrato per il suo lavoro su Absolute Martian Manhunter e per Assorted Crisis Events, pubblicata da Image Comics e premiata come Miglior nuova serie. Questo doppio successo lo proietta tra le figure più influenti del fumetto contemporaneo. Al contrario, Marvel Comics ha vissuto una serata decisamente sottotono, non riuscendo a conquistare alcun premio. Questo risultato inaspettato potrebbe rappresentare uno stimolo alla riflessione per la casa editrice di proprietà Disney, spingendola a riconsiderare le proprie strategie creative e di mercato per il futuro.

La cerimonia ha inoltre premiato altri talenti in diverse categorie, come Mariko Tamaki per la Miglior Sceneggiatura per This Place Kills Me, e Jamal Campbell come Miglior Sceneggiatore/Disegnatore per il suo lavoro su Zatanna.
