Capcom ha ufficialmente svelato durante il **Summer Game Fest 2026** il remake di *Resident Evil: Code Veronica*, intitolato semplicemente *Resident Evil Veronica*, mandando in visibilio i fan della celebre saga survival horror. L’annuncio, accompagnato da un breve filmato, ha mostrato una misteriosa protagonista femminile aggirarsi in un lussuoso appartamento parigino, la cui identità si rivela essere quella di Claire Redfield, impegnata in una missione segreta. Questo nuovo capitolo promette di reimmaginare la storia originale del classico del 2000.

Il gioco è previsto per il lancio nel 2027 e sarà disponibile su piattaforme di nuova generazione come Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X/S. Sebbene la notizia sia accolta con grande entusiasmo, non giunge del tutto inaspettata, dato che indiscrezioni e report precedenti avevano già indicato un remake di *Code Veronica* per quest’anno e un suo possibile annuncio in occasione dell’evento. La notizia segue la scia dei recenti e apprezzati remake di *Resident Evil 2*, *Resident Evil 3* e *Resident Evil 4*, confermando l’impegno di Capcom nel rivitalizzare i propri classici.

## Dettagli e anticipazioni sul remake

Il trailer iniziale ha offerto uno scorcio della protagonista, ambientato in una location che anticipa le atmosfere cupe e misteriose che contraddistinguono la serie. Le speculazioni indicano che il gioco seguirà fedelmente la trama originale, che vede Claire Redfield alla ricerca del fratello Chris, finendo per essere imprigionata su un’isola remota gestita dalla Umbrella Corporation. La sua fuga e la scoperta di oscuri esperimenti genetici sono il cuore pulsante della narrazione. Si vocifera anche il coinvolgimento di **altri personaggi iconici** della saga, aumentando l’attesa per le sorprese che Capcom ha in serbo.

*Resident Evil Veronica* si preannuncia come un titolo che punta a riconciliare la serie con le sue origini survival horror, dopo le sperimentazioni degli ultimi capitoli. L’obiettivo sembra essere quello di offrire un’esperienza più claustrofobica e incentrata sulla gestione delle risorse, pur mantenendo un comparto tecnico all’avanguardia. L’attesa è ora tutta concentrata sul 2027, anno in cui i fan potranno finalmente immergersi nuovamente in uno dei capitoli più amati e richiesti della saga, riscoprendo la **trama complessa e avvincente** che ha segnato un’epoca.
